Tonight I brought home from the allotment:
2.5 lbs raspberries (probably the last 'lot' this year)
4 huge butternut squash
8 fine green beans (definitely the last of these!)
Man Wonderful spent the afternoon in the mist and drizzle (mizzle down these parts) digging and putting in two dozen Kale plants and a dozen Cabbage plants.
SO we currently have:
Rhubarb (in it's first year, so I'm leaving it alone for the time)
Golden globe beets
And I've got an exciting day tomorrow as I hand over my hard-earned £100 in return for a second hand 12x10 perspex window-ed greenhouse to go on the plot!
I'm buying it from a colleague who has lovingly dismantled it from their garden, colour coding and taking pictures as they went, and who is even delivering it to the plot for me.
as you beautiful people have been wonderful and come and found me, left a trail of breadcrumbs for others to follow, AND left me fab comments (putting back the smile that had gone from my face); I thought I'd see if anyone needed one of these:
